DESCRIPTION

You are a cop in the 21st century who has been given a mission to stop the criminals known as Death On Arrival, or DOA. Armed with a criminal radar locator, .88 magnum pistol, and a net gun you set out to erradicate the enemy.

Technocop features action and driving sequences. When in your car, known as the VMAX, a criminal's mug shot will appear on the screen of your car's on-board computer. You then have a time limit to beat on your way to the location of the suspect. If the time limit is not met the criminal can still be apprehended but you can not receive a promotion. Once the crime scene is reached the game becomes a side-scrolling action game and a new time limit will be issued.

While exploring buildings you will come across many criminals. Minor criminals can be disposed of simply by ventilating them with your magnum. Some of the major criminals must be taken alive though which is why you have a net gun. If the main criminal is not apprehended before the time limit then they escape and you lose a possible promotion.
