DESCRIPTION
Warner Brothers' famous Tasmanian Devil Taz brings his ravenous appetite home to your Atari 2600. Hamburgers, root beer, apple cores, and ice cream are a few of the items that are on his menu. But watch out for the dynamite! Accidentally eat of stick of that and Taz is in for one heck of a tummy-ache.
Taz plays exactly like the 2600 Asterix. There are eight horizontal lanes on the screen. Food items or sticks of dynamite move across the screen. Taz must eat the food and avoid the dynamite. He may move back and forth in a lane, and switch lanes by pushing the joystick up and down. Taz appears on the screening as a whirling tornado, as he is often depicted in the cartoons.
There are three meals to be eaten in Taz. Each meal consists of eight courses, which contain 50 items of one type. If you make it through all three meals, you are rewarded with surprise.
Start the game with three lives. Each time you swallow dynamite, you lose a life. Free lives are awarded at 10,000, 30,000, 50,000, 110,00, 150,000 and every 40,000 points thereafter.
After you complete the fudgesicle course of the first wave, the words, "Crazed Wave" appear, warning you the game is speeding up considerably. ~ Michael Schwartz/Joan Dykman, All Game Guide
