“Tales of Graces? It's really good but just remember it was originally released on Wii. The graphics aren't amazing but they do the look and feel of the game complete and total justice.

If you have a J-RPG itch that needs scratching you won't find a better game to do it on the market right now. The storyline is good and will keep you guessing, the combat is a lot of fun, the puzzles aren't difficult but have enough interest in them to keep you going, and unlike most Tales games the achievements aren't pure insanity.

Where the game really shines in character development and how they tackled some pretty heavy scenarios of life death and friendship. You know these characters for 8 years of their lives and by the end of the game (future arc ending especially) you'll start feeling the way the characters feel and laughing with some of their antics.”

“Well, that seems like just the kind of game I'm going for. Something that won't leave me stuck in between puzzle parts. When I saw the case I thought the gameplay looked a lot like Eternal Sonata and that's kind of what happened there before I gave up on it.

Thanks for the review, I think I'll check it out!”

“The combat in Graces is way easier than Eternal Sonata, the traveling around kind of feels the same, no control over your camera... Puzzles and dungeon design are way easier in Graces as well. I remember getting mad at Eternal Sonata a few times myself...”

“It just seemed like in ES that some of the bosses were way too difficult, no matter how much I power leveled it always felt like I was 5 levels behind. It got to the point where I just got sick of grinding and failing so I gave up on it. Still, Graces does seem appealing. I think I'm gonna check it out for sure.”

“I think there was one broken boss like that in Graces - A boar around 3/4's into the game. I took him down eventually and stopped having a problem and if worse comes to worse you can switch the difficulty level easier without any negative consequences then switch it back after.”
