DESCRIPTION
In the year 2096 the world is divided into many regions, each controlled by a mega-corporation known as a Syndicate. You are a marketing director for one of these syndicates and you must set up a long-term business plan to dominate the world. To do this, not only will you need revenue and research, but you will also need cybernetically enhanced and highly armed "marketing agents."
Starting from a small corner of Europe, you must take over the regions of the world one by one. Each region periodically contributes money to the controlling syndicate's coffers, so the more regions you control the more money your syndicate makes. Money can be used to upgrade your stock of agents with existent cybernetic upgrades and weapons or to research new upgrades and weapons.
To capture a region you deploy up to four armed agents to complete mission objectives on an overhead view, 2D map. The objectives include assassinations and kidnappings among other things. If you successfully control your agents and complete the mission, you gain control of that territory.
You arm agents with a variety of weapons to help them in their task. Pistols are the weakest weapons but are available immediately while more powerful weapons need to be researched before they can be purchased. Agents can be armed with force shields to protect them from weapon fire as well as with the Persuadetron, a mind control device that makes other characters in the game follow along faithfully. Civilians can be controlled immediately and a number of them must be under your power before cops and enemy agents can be controlled. Controlled enemy agents are added to your agent pool if you end a mission successfully. ~ Kyle Knight, All Game Guide
