Sierra's gritty SWAT series makes its PSP debut with a new approach designed specifically for the handheld. Instead of a first-person viewpoint, Target Liberty features a third-person perspective set high above the environment. Players slip into the Kevlar vest of Kurt Wolf, a SWAT leader in command of four highly skilled officers. The team must engage in tactical combat with terrorists, gang members, and other criminals lurking within New York City. Throughout the game's 12-mission campaign, players will select and then lead a three-man squad to rescue hostages, apprehend criminals, and recover crucial evidence. Killing is often a last resort, with team-enhancing points awarded for minimizing casualties and using non-lethal weapons. Featured locales include such notable venues as Grand Central Station, Coney Island, Central Park, and Ellis Island. Once the single-player game is complete, SWAT fans can continue the action with up to three other friends via Ad-hoc wireless connection.
