DESCRIPTION

Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation is the first of the Super Robot Taisen series to make its way across the pond from Japan to America. Follow two characters, Ryusei and Kyosuke, through their intertwined stories of galactic conflict. The game consists of three main sections of story, combat, and maintenance. The story plays out in cut-scenes that introduce characters, enemies, and plot points. The combat sequence takes place on a grid where players will lead a force of 'mechs to battle, and then on to victory. Each 'mech has its own attack that will vary in range and power, and the pilots will also have their own abilities such as health restoration, improved attack, or evasion. Defeating enemies gains a player experience and cash to spend on improvements, upgrades, and armor during maintenance such as increasing stats, weapon damage, and pilot abilities. ~ Gracie Leach, All Game Guide
