DESCRIPTION

In Super Robot Taisen 2: Original Generation, the second of the Super Robot Taisen series to make its way from Japan to America, players follow Dr. Brian Zoldark as he explores a meteor infused with strange metal that is decidedly a form of alien weaponry. The metal becomes the base for creating a line of super robots used for defense against the upcoming alien invasion. Super Robot Taisen 2: Original Generation consists of three main sections: story, combat, and maintenance. The story plays out in strategy RPG gameplay, with cut-scenes that introduce characters, enemies, and plot points. The combat sequences take place on a grid where players lead a force of 'mechs to battle. Each 'mech has its own attack that varies in range and power, and pilots also have their own special abilities, such as health restoration, improved attack, or evasion.
