DESCRIPTION

The second sequel to Pac-Man, Super Pac-Man has players guiding Pac-Man around a maze, gobbling apples, doughnuts, sneakers, mushrooms and other objects (instead of dots). The roaming ghosts have locked much of the food behind gates, which can be opened by picking up keys positioned at various points around the maze. In addition to energizer pellets, which enable Pac-Man to briefly turn the tables on the ghosts, each maze has two Super Power Pellets, which temporarily transform the pie-shaped character into a giant, fast, invulnerable, Nietzschean version of his former self. These enhancements make Super Pac-Man less predictable, and in some ways more challenging, than the first two games in the series, but gameplay is not as smooth or as pure. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
