DESCRIPTION

Based on the Arcade game of the same name, Super Off-Road for the Lynx is an off-road racer in which players drive trucks around various maze-like courses filled with obstacles. Players race against three other cars in a four-lap race. Each car has a stock of nitro available; when used, the car gains a temporary speed boost.

Players earn variable amounts of cash depending on their performance in the race. Cash can also be picked up whenever money bag icons appear on certain parts of the tracks. Between races, this cash can be used to buy car upgrades like better acceleration, stronger shocks, tires with more grip or a higher top speed. Players can also buy extra nitro boosts to add to their stock. Each category of upgrade takes a certain amount of cash to level up and can be upgraded a total of seven times each.

During races, players will have to deal with obstacles like large bumps in the road, jumps over water, and areas of the track that cross onto each other. While cars cannot be destroyed from crashes, they will come to a complete stop. ~ Kyle Knight, All Game Guide
