DESCRIPTION

Rolling onto the N-Gage are wacky monkeys AiAi, MeeMee, Baby, and Gongon, who are each enclosed within a transparent ball. Super Monkey Ball's main game has players guiding their monkey of choice as they attempt to maneuver through more than 45 stages. Each monkey must navigate a tilting playfield that causes the ball to roll in different directions. Adding to the challenge is the lack of walls on most levels; if a monkey falls off a ledge, it must restart from the beginning. Users receive bonus points by completing a level as fast as possible and can obtain additional points by collecting bananas spread across each playing field.

By attaining specific scores, players can unlock three additional mini-games: Monkey Fight, Monkey Target, and Monkey Race. Monkey Fight straps a spring-loaded boxing glove onto each ball as the monkeys try to knock one another off a suspended platform. In Monkey Target, a monkey is launched off a ramp and opens its ball to use as a glider while attempting to land on a target.
