“Yep. I found out that I could Space Jump in sand outside of the water, but I can usually only do it once. In the water, it's still difficult, but I'm able to travel around. I can't remember if traveling through sand was more difficult than not in the original game. Was it? Because, if so, then the increase in gravity in the hack coupled with already present difficulty of jumping through sand would explain why I have difficulty traveling through the sand.

In my first playthrough of the game, I did everything without using cheats, so my ability to wall jump never went away and I never questioned my inability to do so though sand because I didn't even have the space jump at the time.”

“Whoa, I've been in Norfair for HOURS. At the very most, I've only explored about half of it. Due to the large size of the world and because of the possibility of glitches that may halt my progress/movements altogether, I've been using save states just in case I felt the urge to stop playing or something terrible happens. This backfired, though. Sometimes, I'll either miss the Shift key, which is used in conjunction with the F# keys in order to save a state, or the game will lag and the game will only read in the F# key, causing me to have to do a lot of things over again. I got rid of my ability to wall jump because of that. :( I'm so deep in Norfair that I'm not gonna bother getting it until I head to Maridia via Brinstar, where the ability is located. It's not like I need the Wall Jump until the very end of the game because I have the Space Jump, but it makes Space Jumping easier sometimes.”
