DESCRIPTION
Super Mario 64 was one of the two titles that were available for the Nintendo 64's North American launch in 1996. The game is a fully 3D platformer utilizing the N64's smooth, texture mapped polygons. Player's take control of Mario, Nintendo's famous mascot video game character, and literally leap, bound, swim, and even fly their way through Princess Toadstool's castle. The object is for players to collect Power Stars along their adventure which will ultimately lead to a battle between Mario and Bowser!
Many old enemies from prior Mario games return such as the classic Goomba and Koopa. Toad even shows up to offer advice for our hero.
Super Mario 64 supports single-player gameplay, sound options, and four game save slots. ~ Aaron Kosydar, All Game Guide

“Super Mario 64 is the perfect example of the perfect platformer. Far before it's time, Super Mario 64 gives a beautiful new spin on the 3D world. While no game can be perfect, this game delivers more than enough content to make you forget about frustrating levels and somewhat faulty control schemes. For casual and hardcore gamers alike, this retro title is a must try.”

“I have to admit, I mostly love the swimming level on the main floor of the castle. The music is relaxing and therapeutic. Also shell surfing is a fun thing to do... I think the only Mario game prior to have that was Mario's Time Machine.”
