DESCRIPTION

A 16-bit remake of the original, Super Double Dragon showcases numerous improvements, including multi-layered, detailed backgrounds, fluidly animated characters and a mixture of remixed past tunes joined by funky, upbeat new ones. This installment's speed has been taken down a notch, though, and is woefully bankrupt of storyline. Billy and Jimmy Lee now possess a larger repertoire of attacks, and can block and counter the moves of foes, or charge up their Anger Meter allowing them to increase their damage or perform special attacks. The tuxedo-clad Steve and Heavyweight Kickboxer Jackson are among the new enemies present throughout the seven missions, ranging from the flashy streets of Las Vegas, to the roof of a San Francisco bound big rig. ~ Geoffrey Douglas Smith, All Game Guide
