DESCRIPTION
In Super Cobra for the Adventure Vision, you must pilot a Super Cobra helicopter through 10 different levels of mountains, caves, cities and other terrain. Each section is supposedly 1,000 miles long; a bar graph at the top of the screen indicates which level you are on.
As you maneuver your helicopter through the airborne obstacle course, rockets, tanks, UFOs, missiles and other enemies (some of which are hidden) will try to bring you crashing down. You can shoot your foes with sidewinder missiles or bomb them into oblivion.
Like most side scrolling shooters, the action in Super Cobra moves from left to right. Pushing right on the joystick will speed you up, and pushing left will let you hover briefly or move the same speed as the ground for a short period of time. You can also maneuver up and down within those confines.
Depending on which option you select, you will begin the game with three, four or five helicopters. You can also play a special version of the game in which you have access to unlimited helicopters. However, you cannot score any points in this mode of play. At the end of the tenth level lies the enemy base. Here you can pick up and carry away the "secret booty." After you grab the money, the action will continue way back at the beginning of the first level. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
