DESCRIPTION
Based on the 1978 Arcade classic, Super Breakout for the Game Boy Color includes all the variations of the original: Cavity, Progressive, Double and Classic Breakout. In this game, you control a paddle that maneuvers horizontally along the bottom of the playfield. Along the upper section of the screen, you'll find a wall of bricks. With the push of a button, a ball will be released and your job is position your paddle where the ball cannot get past, effectively deflecting the ball up into the wall of bricks. Your ultimate goal is to knock out all the bricks using as few balls as possible; after you finish off a wall of bricks, another takes its place.
Depending on which mode of the game you are playing, you will experience double paddles, extra balls on the screen or a progressive series of downward-moving walls. The longer you play, the faster the ball(s) moves. The game ends only when you let all the balls get past your paddle. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
