DESCRIPTION
Based on the Japanese original, this console-style role-playing game ventures Stateside via Atlus U.S.A. The game features cute, super-deformed characters whose appearance belies a deeper story of troubling times. Summon Night: Swordcraft Story is set in the land of Lyndbaum, which serves as a crossroads to other dimensions. Heroes of Lyndbaum are known to adventure alongside powerful beasts, and players will choose from four available animal companions. The game features overland exploration from a top-down view and real-time side-scrolling combat. As the title hints, crafting is also a significant consideration, and players can collect raw materials to create dozens of different weapons. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide

“Sistema lineare patetico, soprattutto considerando che Namco ha fatto uscire i Tales sempre su GBA con un linear battle system decisamente migliore. Bella grafica cmq... sonoro da NES (ad essere generosi...)”

“I loved how you could beat other craftknights by breaking their weapons. decent story, excellent mechanics... although they probably could have done a few more interesting things with them later in the game.”
