Tengen brings Steel Talons, the 1991 arcade flight simulator, to your Sega Genesis. At the helm of the Army's most advanced attack helicopter, you must complete 12 dangerous missions. In each mission you must destroy a certain number of enemy targets such as helicopters, jets, tanks, surface-to-air missiles, houses, trucks, gun turrets, radar dishes, bunkers, and enemy control towers. Be careful, though, some of these targets shoot back.
The action in this game takes place in a variety of settings including box canyons, mountainous areas, foggy regions, deserts, and prairies. In addition to the standard combat mode, you can play the head-to-head game which pits you against the computer in one-on-one aerial combat. If you don't feel comfortable with the controls or you just want to brush up on your piloting skills, you may want to try the training mode. If a friend wants to join in on the action, he or she can control the altitude and rotating while you fly and shoot. Steel Talons is one of the few Genesis games featuring polygon graphics. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
