DESCRIPTION
Imagine a world that has been infested with a deadly virus that almost wiped out an entire race of people. The time setting for this world is in the far distant future, way past the millennium and the apocalypse has already come and gone. And with all governmental structures down and out, totally destroyed by war and disease, it is time for the people left on the desolate world to regain what they once had. Unfortunately, they all don't see eye to eye on things and have all pledged allegiance to different tribes. Each tribe is out to either destroy one another or unite them all together, and this is the premise of Starsiege: Tribes.
Starsiege: Tribes isn't your typical first-person action shooter. Instead of concentrating on a single player game (only training missions), it is meant to be played completely on-line. Because of its gameplay nature, there are a wide variety of games to choose from. You and your tribe can play Capture the Flag, Defend and Destroy, Find and Retrieve, Capture and Hold and (of course) Deathmatch. Each one of the games has certain mission objectives that need to be met in order to win the map. It is also very strategic in that you can order your team/tribe to carry out various side missions or command them to waypoints. You'll also get to set up mines and turrets to defend your base, use different armor classes, communicate with your teammates via pre-recorded voice samples, and control powerful aircraft. ~ Michael L.
