DESCRIPTION
The movie series may be over, but the saga lives on with Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. The storyline takes place between films Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, with the Galactic Empire nearing the peak of its far-reaching power. You are none other than Darth Vader's secret apprentice, engaging in covert missions to defeat those with designs on dismantling the Imperial regime. As in the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions, the action is viewed from a third-person perspective with the apprentice holding his red lightsaber behind his back. The Force can be used as a tool or weapon to lift and throw objects as well as bodies. While the narrative is the same across all versions, the PSP game features an exclusive historic missions mode. Players will revisit five scenarios from the feature films, including the showdown between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader in Cloud City.
The main game finds the protagonist traveling to various worlds in his relentless search for the few remaining Jedi who escaped Order 66. Featured locales include a TIE Fighter construction facility, the Wookiee home of Kashyyyk, a junkyard-like realm known as Raxus Prime, and a fungus-infested planet called Felucia. Each features groups of enemies that must be eliminated in stylish fashion, with Force power combos earning players experience points to customize their character. Accompanying the lead character at various points is a prototype "holodroid" called Proxy as well as a blond Imperial pilot named Juno Eclipse. The Sith Lord's apprentice faces several deadly foes throughout his mission, including Maris Brood, a Zabrak warrior bent on revenge, and the primary target: grizzled General Rahm Kota, who learned the ways of the Force under the tutelage of Mace Windu and Yoda. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide

“This is possibly one of the must haves for any star wars fan with a psp. The sheer deapth of the game is beyond what I expected. There are lots more moves than feature in the console versions of this game. On top of that you have the "force unleased mode" (another thing sadly missing from the consoles) giving 2 player gaming or a one player fight that becomes increasingly more difficult. If that's not enough there's "order 66" which is basically a survival mode. Then there's my personal favourite the "historic mission" where you get to fight out in scenes taken from the movies. Nothing quite like whuppin Luke skywalker in Bespin and having the famous "I am your father" line. Overall a satifying game that out ways all other versions in sheer depth. Gets five stars coz the force is strong with this one ^_^”

“Great action game that really surprised me after all the disappointing reviews. The game is actually really great and I'm still amazed at what they were able to pull off on the PSP!”
