DESCRIPTION
This game is a re-release of The Star Trek: The Next Generation Technical Manual, which originally came in a Windows-only and Mac-only versions. Both are now long out of print. This package combines the game so that both platforms are now on one CD-Rom.
The game itself is a virtual tour of the Starship Enterprise NCC-1701-D. Players can start out with a tour of the ship given by Commander Riker or simply explore, guided by the voice of the Computer, Majel Barrett Roddenberry. Views of almost every area of the ship are included, plus technical details about the ship itself, other ships bearing the name "Enterprise", and details of her construction and career.
Play is assumed to take place in a holodeck-like environment, and players can view the ship in one of two modes. The first, jump, takes players from area to area and is best if you easily get motion sickness or do not have the memory available for the quicktime version, or Fly, in which players can click on a place and be taken there in a smooth pan through the scene. ~ Lisa Karen Savignano, All Game Guide
