DESCRIPTION
Oversee life from its simplest form to its most complex in Spore, designer Will Wright's first original game since 2000's The Sims. As a microorganism on a new world, you must survive and thrive in your liquid environment by darting back and forth, feeding, and avoiding potential predators. Absorbing food such as plankton or algae during your formative days also allows you to absorb the DNA necessary to evolve into a terrestrial animal. Similar to a role-playing game, Spore lets you customize your being in an assortment of ways, with swappable body "parts" influencing attributes such as speed, strength, and so forth.
While you are encouraged to tinker around with your creature and its environment, the game's underlying structure involves progressing through five distinct phases: cell, creature, tribe, civilization, and space. Each rung in the game's evolutionary ladder follows your creature as it becomes a sentient being capable of performing a variety of tasks. You will develop a culture, conquer rivals, build cities, design vehicles, and even travel to other planets throughout the galaxy. Though Spore was designed as a single-player experience, the game's universe is comprised of worlds and creatures designed by the online community. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide

“Evolution game? You start as a tiny cell, feeding through a flow-like game. Then you are suggested a creature based on those actions and can customize it. You multiply. You interact with other creatures... Overall, I'd rather say it's a collection of mini games which are fun for a short while but after creating your 5th to 10th creature, Spore lost its appeal to me.
2 stars +1 star for technical dilligence = 3 star rating.”

“The time has come, and i had to try this game,so here i am,writing an short review.
Game intro : Simple but good.
Menu : Simple but still good.
Cell stage : One of the most fun stages...it is fun to be the smallest one then grow grow grow grow up.Mine creature,is a herbivore (at the beggining) i used to swear the heck out the other herbivores (especialy the pink worms whit a lot of eyes !) for stealing ma food. But as i evolved i had to get new parts,so i changed mine creature diet to carnivore...from which, after a time...i made it omnivore (blood sucking).
Creature stage : Hard stage is hard, and this is the hardest xD well mine creature named...*vampire* is currently in this stage, but of course i "finished" the game more times. So you need to ally/kill some other creature colonies (around 18 if I'm not wrong) by the way you need to collect as many parts as possible to customize your creature, also the epics...yeah..the epics, the big things which kill you if you get too close...
Also the creature stage is the last stage in which you can edit your creature !
Tribal stage : Still pretty hard, but whit an rush you can finish it easy, you need to wipe out all the other tribes by attacking them, you of course need to gather food, build houses/buildings..and so.
In this stage you can customize your creature by adding hats armors graves...and such :3 which you unlock by destroying other tribes.
Civilization stage : The easiest in mine opinion, but also in this stage you can do A LOT !!! you can build vehicles, ships, ufo (planes),buildings...
Space stage : Also very fun whit the Galactic Adventures expansion...”
