Space Wars is a long-term, grand-scale strategy game, in the fashion of computer classics such as Master of Orion or Galactic Civilizations, but played online against as many as 120 opponents. Players begin on their own, lone planet, with limited resources. They must develop new technologies, explore the star systems around them, and develop defenses against the attacks of other expansive players. Unlike many strategic computer games of galactic conquest, Space Wars plays out in real time, all the time. Players can schedule actions to be performed automatically at a future time, or use a built-in auto-play function to keep their space empires safe and productive during the times they are away from their phones.
