DESCRIPTION
Saving humanity is the order of the day in Space Siege, but in the course of fending off a devastating and mysterious alien species, players must also confront the reality of what it means to be human. Space Siege combines elements of creative director Chris Taylor's critically lauded catalog, featuring the combat-heavy action RPG gameplay of the Dungeon Siege series and the outer space setting of Total Annihilation and Supreme Commander, while also throwing in the moral conundrums of games like Mass Effect and BioShock for good measure.
A massive alien assault on Earth leaves humans scrambling to flee into outer space aboard five evacuation ships, but only one vessel is able to avoid destruction. Gamers take on the role of Seth Walker, a combat engineer on the lone remaining ship, as he uses tactical combat, futuristic weapons, and a customizable robotic partner to battle the alien menace. Players can help Walker outsmart alien combatants by ducking behind cover and setting up ambushes, and the HR-V robot companion can be outfitted with armor and weapons to help carry out tactical maneuvers and special combo attacks. The moral dilemmas come into play when gamers must choose whether to outfit Walker with cybernetic upgrades that make him stronger but less human, or stay mortal and use inferior weaponry to fend off the aliens.
Much of the character-building RPG elements of Space Siege relate to the decisions players make with regard to cybernetic upgrades, and these choices alter the path gamers take as they journey throughout the massive ship. The single-player campaign also introduces players to dozens of characters, each with unique histories and personalities. Space Siege also features a separate, mission-based multiplayer campaign designed specifically for cooperative online play by a group of up to four. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide

“Pretty much full price. My wife managed to snag Borderlands for $44 at Target shortly after Thanksgiving. She had to buy Assassin's Creed II twice because she accidentally ordered the 360 version the first time. Whoops. For some reason though, she wasn't amused by my solution of "we could just go buy a 360." Ah well, c'est la vie.”

“I got Assassin's Creed II, and Dragon Ball Raging Blast. ACII was a lot better than I expected (I was a bt unsure if it would be good or not, but it's excellent), and DBRB is pretty tough at times but it's going to keep me busy for a long time! Oh, I also got a copy of Megaman Zero (GBA) - which I haven't played much of yet - and I bought Ninja Gaiden Sigma II with some Christmas money, but that's in the pipeline til I'm bored (I've already got and completed NGII).”

Was glued to my PC for a week, trying to unlock most achievements. I'm currently on my second play-through with custom character. Can't wait for Mass Effect II.”

“I finally got enough money to get the Fallout GotY edition and the store where the bulk of my gift cards were designated didn't have it. So instead I picked up the Pitt and OA expansion disc and got a copy of the game used for less than twenty bucks. This game is so great, can't wait for NEW VEGAS.”

The story is still one of the best with alot of perverse humour not found in the rest of the series.. Cloud dresses up as a girl to save tifa from a brothel?! Absolute classic! ^_^”

The bills and debts and what not, that I rack up in Swik really do not hit me until June the following year.
Which, to be fully honest, I would prefer to be broke in June than in January.
Somehow I suspect in doing so I have two major effects:
1) Supporting the economy better during what typically is a slump (January, February and March)
2) Getting some typically better (well better balanced) prices during those months due to lack of people shopping due to the effects of the Holiday season.
I mean, yes, the sales are over--but typically sales tend to only apply to certain items--anything not on sale tends to be over priced, compared to the rest of the year.”

“The games I got were dirt cheap, but it is just finding the time to play them and keep up with the new titles. It is too much. Even if I had the money, I doubt I would be able to find the time to play them all.”
