Cause everytime you think that you found a villain to hate, or a character who is good, you get reality and conflict staring you down. Showing there is no absolute right or wrong. And the villain isn't soo much bad or good, but forced into a position in one way or another. While the gameplay helps you feel that the story will just turn out worse for the character! Making you ask where you will end it right or wrong. And when he dies, he comes back in a hellish existence! Always living where he felt was disgraceful. While still accepting and fighting his way to be free and beyond. You find what most games lack now, and learn it doesn't take aliens or cleavage to enjoy. And always thinking of how to approach puzzles and more. Soul Reaver and the series its from has been both satisfying and intense in story and simple gameplay. Not meant for the gamer who needs a fast and quick game that includes a care package, with a dash of watered down pick up and play. This game provides fantastic imagination and voice acting. And graphics are well enough to immerse you deep in its dark story. Where you will want or not want it! But if you want it, it will pull you into its series with a vengeance! 5 OUT OF 5! Hell, make it 10 out of 10! This game was and still is a great series that got overlooked by many. But the majority who knew Legacy of Kain, knew this game and before and after. And never forgot!
