DESCRIPTION

The iPod edition of Sonic the Hedgehog is a straight remake of the iconic Sega side-scroller, controlled with the click-wheel. The game sports spot-on 16-bit pixel graphics, which look sharp on the small screen, and the same level layout and play style of the original. Players control Sonic, a speedy hedgehog with spiky blue hair (and 'tude, so it is said). Sonic can roll into a ball to bop enemies, bust through barriers, and accelerate in channels or around loop de loops. In many stages, Sonic can find a path to race gracefully from start to finish, but power-ups and other opportunities are often available as well, off the fast track. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide
