The "Storybook" series that began in Sonic and the Secret Rings continues in Sonic and the Black Knight, where gamers can combine the high-speed antics of Sega's azure mascot with the medieval swordplay of Arthurian legend. Drawn back in time by the granddaughter of the legendary wizard Merlin, Sonic must battle his way through Camelot in an attempt to unravel the secrets of a mysterious and troublesome villain. Players can use their Wii Remote and Nunchuk to engage enemies in swordfights, but classic Sonic gameplay also returns as gamers can careen around 13 interactive environments, using a giant crossbow to soar over moats and castle walls. Keeping in tune with the medieval theme, Sonic and the Black Knight features light RPG elements that involve leveling up for better power moves and upgraded attacks, while those simply looking for multiplayer action can join three friends and duke it out in sword battles featuring four characters from the Sonic pantheon. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide
