DESCRIPTION

Somer Assault is a shooter with a twist: you don't guide a ship and the screen doesn't scroll on its own. You're something that resembles a cross between a Slinky and a slug. You look pink and squishy, but you move like a Slinky. You're also armed, and can shoot at different angles depending on how you position yourself.

Before you can start playing, the game will ask for your birthday. Then you're thrown into a variety of 2D maze-like worlds you must slink through. You can shoot down any enemies you encounter and pick up any power-ups you come across as you explore the passages.

You can also jump small gaps, but if the gap is too great, you'll return to where you were before the jump. Sooner or later you'll come across a special room, which will seal its entrance after you pass through. Located within this room is a boss character, which you must defeat in order to advance to the next level.

The game offers a total of twelve stages, each corresponding to a zodiac period. The boss in each level is designed to look like that level's zodiac symbol. When you get to the level that corresponds to the zodiac period of your birthday, you'll get a special surprise! ~ Kyle Knight, All Game Guide
