DESCRIPTION

Certainly one of the more addicting titles for the Apple II computer, Snake Byte's brilliance lies in its simplicity. Using the keyboard, players maneuver a snake around a playfield while attempting to eat a randomly placed apple. Neither the playfield walls or the snake's own body can be touched by the snake's head. If the apple cannot be reached before time runs out, more apples will appear. Each time the snake consumes an apple, its length will increase, making the playfield more difficult to navigate. Once ten apples are eaten, a narrow door will appear allowing the snake to advance to a more difficult level.
