In Sky Skipper, you are the pilot of an airplane ready to embark on a rescue mission to save cats, turtles, rabbits and ducks held captive by a giant gorilla.
The playfield is a large, vertically scrolling maze. Within each section of the maze, you must drop a bomb on a gorilla, effectively knocking him over. When the gorilla is down, the cages holding the animals temporarily spring open. To rescue the animals, swoop down in your plane and pick them up. Be careful, though, because if you run into the gorilla, a wall or an obstacle (such as a cloud), you will crash.
You are able to refuel your airplane by rescuing one of each type of animal consecutively — for example, one cat, one turtle, one rabbit, and one duck.
After you have rescued all of the animals in a maze (before running out of fuel), you must start the process all over again. After you have completed two levels of play, the airplane gets much faster, thus becoming harder to control. You receive an addition plane every 10,000 points. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
