DESCRIPTION
The first expansion pack for the critically lauded "4X" strategy title Sins of a Solar Empire, Entrenchment aims to dramatically alter the pacing of the game by placing more emphasis on defense and military tactics. Defensively themed changes include the ability to place minefields around planets, upgraded armor and turret defense systems, a Subspace Inhibitor platform that slows encroaching ships, and massive new starbases. Starbases act as proxy planets and can be placed in previously inaccessible locations, letting gamers defend a vulnerable mining colony or launch devastating attacks on enemies. Previous installation of Sins of a Solar Empire is required. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide

“A fabulous micro-expansion to a wonderful game. Lot's of new stuff added and supports the original game as well as adds new tactical possibilities (gun laden platforms anyone?). A must have for Sins players.”

“Two ways to describe this: Starcraft in space, and a galactic real-time Civilizations game. I always thought Civ4 maps werent huge enough, this has fixed that.”

“SoaSE is a great X4/RTS strategy game. With this expansion I like the game less. The expansion adds a lot of defensive stuff, and 'turteling' isn't exactly my playing style.”
