DESCRIPTION

Based on the cult favorite arcade game of the same name, Sinistar pits players against a large and rather hungry space station and its army of defense ships and harvesting ships. The graphics aren't really up to snuff for replicating Sinistar, though — the giant face of the space station winds up looking like some kind of abstract crab-like creatures, and the various ships (including the player's) have lost the visual finesse of the coin-op's sprites. Perhaps, like the unreleased Tempest for the Atari VCS, Sinistar was best when left in the vault rather than being unleashed on a gaming public that would likely have been disappointed. ~ Earl Green, All Game Guide
