Featuring the Quake II 16-bit graphics engine and 3D OpenGL hardware support, Sin Gold, converted from the original Ritual Entertainment title by Contraband Entertainment, presents a world filled with violent drug crime syndicates for your Macintosh. In addition to Sin, this first-person shooter also contains the first mission pack, Wages of Sin.

SinTek, a bio-research corporation, has created a new, pleasure inducing drug known on the streets as U-4 (presumably due to its properties of creating a feeling of euphoria in the users). Unfortunately, the artificially complacent users of U-4 fall under the control of the company's CEO — the devious and evil Elexis Sinclaire. Even worse, the victims of the drug tend to mutate into violent and monstrous abominations. You, playing as rogue hero Colonel John R. Blade and with the help of his computer-smart partner J. C. Armack, try to put a stop to the dangerous controlling plans of SinTek.

Working for Hardcorps, you have access to various training simulations prior to hitting the streets, including sniper and skeet shooting ranges. An array of special armor (helmet, pants, jacket), first-aid items (e.g., vitamins, immunity stimulants, adrenaline boosts) and other devices (shields, de-scramblers, communication links, underwater breathing apparatus and glow lights) are also available.

Sin Gold allows multiplayer action over a LAN or the Internet and comes with an assortment of customization options including type of game, appearance, maps, time limits, frag and player limits, damage, weapons, health, armor, power-ups, ammunition availability, respawn options, friendly fire and team play. ~ Michael L.
