DESCRIPTION

As the second expansion for Civilization IV, Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword invites players back into the game for action after the invention of gunpowder. Featuring 12 new scenarios created with help from members of the Civ Fan Community, gamers must select from a variety of civilizations including newcomers Portugal, Babylon, and the Netherlands, and then begin building a society filled with citizens, world wonders, ports, education, religion, and politics. Players now have a chance to construct such engineering feats as Cristo Redentor, Shwedagon Paya, and the Moai statues. Espionage and diplomatic options are now available much earlier in the game, and a new feature allows gamers to create corporations and spread them into other countries for certain resources. ~ Gracie Leach, All Game Guide

“Seriously. They routinely price things at 80% off, which is just about the point at which I can no longer make rational economic decisions. For less than $5, I'll buy games I'm pretty sure I won't like. Then you get so used to firing up whatever game you feel like that it becomes a ridiculous burden to have to go put in a disc. :P”

“@onemorehour it's amazing just how annoying putting in discs can be... I've ripped most of my games to disc though annoyingly some of them have copy protection that stymies that (!!!) - Diablo 2 is an example @HIghSimSim Thanks dude!

“nice - yeah I never really picked up the Civ games till this one (Civ IV), but I love it. Nice thing is you don't have to wage war all the time. I have managed to make friends with all the nations on my continent, except for Spain, but i was able to leverage my relationships to cause Spain to be at war with many nations...hence why she has 3 little sities left (the pink ones south of my border in the picture above)”
