DESCRIPTION

Shot Online is a web-enabled golf game with persistent-world leader boards. Players can download and play the game from any capable computer, and their high scores will be displayed online for all participants to see and challenge. RPG-like character development allows players' online personas to improve with continued golfing, making it easier to hit long drives or sink tricky putts.

Players choose from six main golfer characters (including one southpaw), and then can customize their online counterparts — with practice to improve skills, and with purchasable items to create distinct appearances. Shot Online is free to download and play; the game is financially supported by a "micropayments" model that allows players to buy in-game clothing and accessories for their characters. ~ T.J.
