DESCRIPTION

It was a beautiful morning in the kingdom of Thornwood. The sun was rising and a mist still hung over the ground from the damp night. Princess Jessa was attempting to make her father see her point of view. It had been a year since she had been to the shrine to pay respect to her departed mother, and she wasn't going to take no for an answer.

Finally, her father, King Drake, consented. He called his most trusted knight, Mortred, to his chambers. He told Mortred to take Jessa to the shrine, and Mortred did as he was told. On the way to the shrine, Jessa started questioning Mortred. He explained about the shrine, the surrounding lands, and the kingdom in general. It was then that she asked about the Labyrinth. He told her that the Labyrinth was the training ground for knights. It crawled with the most heinous monsters in the land, and any knight who could complete all the floors became a Shining Knight, the most respected and powerful knight in the land.

Now more than a day has passed, and Jessa and Mortred haven't returned. Knights had scoured the land, but nothing has turned up. King Drake, refusing to call of the search, summons you, Mortred's son, into his chambers, and he contracts you to find your father and Jessa.
