One of relatively few Intellivision titles marketed explicitly for younger children, Sharp Shot bundles four drastically simplified, one-button versions of existing games into a single cartridge. Football Passing = NFL Football; Space Gunner = Space Battle; Submarine = Sea Battle; and Maze Shoot = Advanced Dungeons & Dragons. According to the Intellivision programmer alumni group, Blue Sky Rangers, there was never any intention of releasing these mini-games to the public. That is, until its designer APh Technology Consultants submitted the four games as a bundled cartridge. Originally, the games were programmed for a TV game show — contestants controlled the single fire button by saying "Pow!" Marketing added "Recommended for Children 4 and Up" to the packaging as a disclaimer of sorts regarding the utter lameness and simplistic nature of the games. ~ John Jackson Miller, All Game Guide
