DESCRIPTION
Based on Hiroyuki Takei's anime series by the same title, Shaman King is the second franchise licensed by Konami from Shueisha following Yu-Gi-Oh!. Shaman King tells the story of a young boy named Yoh Asakura, an average student with a not so average ability. Yoh is a Shaman, one of a select few who have the ability to see ghosts and spirits. With the desire of becoming Shaman King, Yoh teams up with a ghost named Amidamaru.
Together they embark on a journey to take part in the Grand Tournament held once every 500 years. In gameplay featuring elements of strategy and role-playing games, players must go up against a heinous organization and numerous villains out to stop the tournament from occurring at all costs. ~ Damian Francis, All Game Guide

“A worthwhile Shaman King game. It doesn't follow the plot of the anime at all, and has solid length and gameplay. The gaming style is kind of a part strategy part fighter system as you command characters on a gridded map and when Yoh engages an enemy it switches to fighting game format. Other characters attack like in a normal strategy game. Also worth noting is the vs. fighting mode unlocked after the game which allows you to play just about everyone in the game in the fighter system. The combat is really basic here, but it's amusing nonetheless and the character selection is really good. (owned and completed, accurate rating is 7.25)”
