DESCRIPTION
This retro-friendly disc brings three of Sega's 8- and 16-bit RPG hits to the 128-bit PlayStation 2. Included are authentic ports of the first three games in the Phantasy Star series, which first appeared on the Master System and Genesis in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
The original Phantasy Star is set on the planet Palma, one of the three known planets in the Algo Star System, located deep in the Andromeda galaxy. The game takes place in the Phantasy Star time of Space Century 342. The dark priests of a new religion, though never actually seen by mortal man, have promised immortality to any who would join their cause. Once beloved by his people, King Lassic has become an evil tyrant due to the black magic of this new religion.
Phantasy Star II continues the role-playing experience, featuring complex plot twists, numerous characters, and a mixture of sci-fi and fantasy elements. Join forces with Hugh the Biologist, Shir the Thief, Kain the Wrecker, Rudo the Hunter, and many others as you try to unravel the mystery of why Mother Brain has let the planet fall apart.
Spanning seven worlds and three generations, Phantasy Star III presents players with and epic story through both time and space. At the end of each generation, the hero chooses who to marry, and players move on to a new quest in the role of the hero's offspring. Phantasy Star III: Generations of Doom contains four different endings for added replay value. ~ All Game Guide
