In the side-scrolling Seahorses, you must help the lost aquatic creatures find their home — an abandoned cruise ship. You have the option of altering the seahorses' colors; you can also have a friend join the action in an alternating turns game. After selecting the color of choice, you'll maneuver the lost seahorse through an aquatic landscape filled with schools of fish, coral, caves and enemies.
Enemies include large fish looking for some seahorse meat. In order to succeed, you must steer clear of these baddies; you'll lose a life after running into one. Along the ocean floor are a series of inter-linked coves. Coves are used for evasive purposes — when there's a fish in front of you, you can duck into this safe haven. While some coves are there for hiding, others will transport you closer to the abandoned ship.
When the abandoned liner is found and reached, a flag goes up and the rescued seahorse is added to the overall total; there is no limit to the amount of seahorses to be rescued. Seahorses continues until all the lives have been expired or the game is shut off.
