Developed in collaboration with the world-famous DJ Mix Master Mike, and featuring a turntable-and-mixer controller designed by the DJ accessory specialists at Numark, Scratch: The Ultimate DJ is designed to give wannabe turntablists the most realistic DJ experience in gaming. The Numark Scratch Deck controller features a mixer, complete with a crossfader and five of the same rubber buttons used on the Akai Pro MPC, as well as a mini scratch-pad featuring a real Pioneer CDJ wheel. Scratch: The Ultimate DJ makes use of the same sort of "falling bar" interface popularized by Guitar Hero and Rock Band, letting players tap and scratch their way through more than 60 licensed hip-hop tracks from such artists as Kanye West, Run DMC, and The Gorillaz. Each of the six different cel-shaded DJ avatars has a personal fashion style and taste in hip-hop, and partygoers and b-boys get livelier as players nail long strings of notes.
