DESCRIPTION
German developer Ascaron Entertainment brings gamers more open-ended role-playing action in this sequel to the 2004 release Sacred. Sacred 2: Fallen Angel moves the gameplay perspective to true 3D, rather than the Diablo-esque isometric viewpoint of the original, but players have the same freedom to choose from six playable characters and wander the landscape as they please, undertaking quests and cleansing dungeons of enemies and beasts.
Gamers can also gather a wide assortment of unique items, travel and battle on the backs of mounts such as horses, tigers, and hellhounds, and level-up their character's attributes and fighting styles. Players can choose to battle on the "Light" side or the "Shadow" side, with both choices resulting in a unique set of skills, rewards, and story elements. Sacred 2 also features five different multiplayer modes, including co-op, PvP, and PvE options, and drop-in gameplay allows for seamless transitions between single- and multiplayer modes on Xbox Live. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide

“This is an insane game. Bump into one person player gets a quest. Talk to more characters more quests. Then, as characters level up enemies travel in packs. One drawback is the camera angling. Doesn't like to stay at any one set position.”

“Sacred 2 is a fun game. Huge world. I dont think it is big as Oblivion. Man, quests are endless. Every town I hit has roughly ten-plus things to do. On those quests I might run into someone else who...”

“Sacred 2 is a decent RPG, especially considering that I am not very into the open-ended RPGs and have never played Sacred before. It gives you a big, expansive world as your playground and you can take full advantage of it by doing any of the 600+ quests and killing hordes, and I mean hordes, of enemies. The female classes in the game can do just as well or maybe even better then the male classes, except for the fact the Seraphim seemed to have short end of stick when it comes to character aspects and always seems on the verge of dying for me, but maybe that’s just me. If you don’t like spending time leveling up or exploring with very little story tying things together, do not get this game because you’ll be flying by seat of pants for most of the game.”

“Not a terribly engaging RPG, nor is it well designed. Buy it cheap maybe, otherwise skip it.”

“This is an amazingly large game. There are tons of enemies, but 50% of them for whatever reason are rats. Honestly, if Earth had this kind of rat problem I think we would be in dire straits. That doesn't mean that there aren't other enemies, but they come with rats. Wanna fight a boss? There are tons, and unfortunately no rat bosses. The portals to pretty much every area of the game return with the sequel, but unlike the first game they don't tell you where you are going. The skills can be a little rough to use at first, and I keep thinking this game would be better on PC. The local co-op is lacking, and honestly the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. The problem is that it is not split screen, if player A goes into the inventory or a merchant screen, player B gets to sit around until they are done.”

“okay, having played for some days now, two characters reached level 23, one level 15 (High Elf, Seraphim and a Shadow Warrior)
and I have to admit: I love it - it's like having a Tamagotchi, searching new stuff and becoming stronger and stronger.
Well, the story doesn't thrill me that much, some quests having a funny background but most of the time it's just like: yeah, kill that one because he's evil/have done harm to me etc.
But I can live with that. Especially the co-op mode amuses me a lot - a feeling of "just one more level" appears.
I like Sacred 2. Period.”
