DESCRIPTION
German developer Ascaron Entertainment brings gamers more open-ended role-playing action in this sequel to the 2004 release Sacred. Sacred 2: Fallen Angel moves the gameplay perspective to true 3D, rather than the Diablo-esque isometric viewpoint of the original, but players have the same freedom to choose from six playable characters and wander the landscape as they please, undertaking quests and cleansing dungeons of enemies and beasts.
Gamers can also gather a wide assortment of unique items, travel and battle on the backs of mounts such as horses, tigers, and hellhounds, and level-up their character's attributes and fighting styles. Players can choose to battle on the "Light" side or the "Shadow" side, with both choices resulting in a unique set of skills, rewards, and story elements. Sacred 2 also features five different multiplayer modes, including co-op, PvP, and PvE options, and drop-in gameplay allows for seamless transitions between single- and multiplayer modes online. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide

“I finished the light campaign in Sacred 2. My level 41 Dryad is barely able to scratch several kinds of enemies, and this leads me to think I've kitted her out wrong, in terms of skills and so on. ...”

“Wow my brother's right. The swamp is just packed to the gills with monsters. Makes travel a lot slower, and it's easy to get swarms of them all over you. Those poisonous rats are just killer for...”

“The boss monsters are truly fearsome in this game. I had a dragon sic me on a demonic enemy he was afraid would one day be stronger than him. I could never have fought this thing alone. Co-op is...”

“My brother always cautions me to stick with the main quest. "You'll be a grandfather before you finish all the side quests in this game!" There are zillions of them.”

“I find my character able to ping 70-100 damage off enemies with arrows, but 300 damage off them with her sword at times. I need a better bow, bigtime!”

“Marathon questing session tonight. Got up to the water monster. Will probably recruit my brother to help me fight him online.”

“Put in a lot of time on Sacred 2 tonight with my brother online. He helped me get my unique mount and taught me more about various bits of the game while we did a few quests and slaughtered many...”

“Got my Inquisitor to level 15. Teamed up with another Inquisitor along the way who was rather good at killing enemies even though he was a lower level than me.”

“I find the classes in this game confusing since they are quite different from the standard fantasy tropes. Not necessarily bad, but it takes some getting used to them, and finding out what they're...”

“Put another couple of hours in with the Dryad tonight, got her to level 13, I think. The kobods are good fun to mow down with a bow.”
