DESCRIPTION
The Saboteur is an open-world action adventure, set in Nazi-controlled Paris during Germany's rise power in World War II. Players take the role of an unlikely hero: An Irish mechanic with nothing left to lose. Sean Devlin has lost all he loved in life because of the heartless Nazi occupation, and he now devotes his keen engineering skills to revenge, by destroying as much of the German army's equipment and infrastructure as he can. Considering his skills with explosives and heavy machinery — and with his two fists, as well — this is a significant amount of potential damage. The hero can run, climb, and make use of many different kinds of vehicles he finds. He is free to explore the 1930s City of Lights as the player wishes, and progress at his own pace down the paths he chooses, but contact with British intelligence operatives and members of the local underground resistance movement provides information that leads to more structured operations.
As he works toward his ultimate goal of vengeance against the high-ranking Nazi officer who ruined his life, Sean embarks on missions of sabotage, sniping, and assassination, using his mechanical skills, stealth, and street smarts. Each job presents unique goals and challenges, but in nearly all missions, the key is to remain unnoticed, using the element of surprise to take out an important Nazi officer or unleash massive damage on tanks and heavy artillery, and then slipping back into the shadows to fight again another day. The game represents Sean's subversive successes in a more indirect manner, as well, with its "Will to Fight" system. As the hero deals blow after blow to the occupying German forces, the repressed people of Paris are encouraged toward their own insurgency, and the streets and neighborhoods that Sean has freed from overbearing Nazi presence begin to take on a more colorful, positive appearance in the game, emboldening new allies and opening up more missions. ~ T.J. “Drunken irish bar brawls, world war 2, unique art styles and much more! This game almost feels perfect... almost.
Story- The story of the saboteur evolves around Sean Devlin; A rough irish mechanic who ends up becoming one of the key players in the french resistance. You are never told about why he ended in france but there are subtle clues dotted around the story so the player has the option to come up with their own back story for Sean if they choose to. What is quite impressive is how the characters are presented. Most are naturaly french but you come across an array of characters from a vast selection of ethnicities, for me this is much better than a full cast of Americans but hey, you're entitled to your own preferences. I'm not going to give too many details away but let's just say Sean quickly develops a burining passion for despatching of nazis early in the game.
Gameplay- The sabotuer is one of those games that gives us the option to free roam. And much like Grand theft auto you'll encounter story missions at all the different portions of the map, if you have played a free roam game before, the story missions are a bit formulaic: Go to a point, drive to a location on the map, sneak in to a nazi compound and blow S**t up whilst the nazis have no idea you're there. It provides cool, sadistic pleasure to skulk around unseen, especialy if you're like me and have to rely on sense of mind and patience due to poor shooting skills. So if you're a stealthy type of person: shut down your PC or Laptop and buy this game. do it, NOW!!!!!
Graphics- Now the term 'Mixed bag' is highly compatiable to the graphics of the sabotuer: on one hand you have a stylish black and white look with only the red of nazi swastikaand the blue of the resistance symbol. However this art style is only applied to areas you haven't liberated, and when they're libarated the colour returns to the area. Although this sounds good on paper the graphical issues of the occupied areas becomes more noticable and this DOES become an issue when graphics fail to load and take 5 seconds to load up. But hey no game is perfect.
All in all the sabotuer was the perfect final release for producers Pandemic, buy this game and take a minute to appraise Pandemic for this awesome title.

“Every once in a while a FPS will try something new to make it stand out from the crowd. The Saboteur accomplished this through an artistic twist within Paris during the WWII German occupation. I enjoyed this game a great deal and completed it entirely for the full story. This open world experience had mechanics that employed Assassins Creed style climbing (though not as polished) and decent gunplay that felt natural. As expected there are a series of missions you must take on to sabotage the German forces. Through the destruction of towers, tanks, trains etc. you slowly turn the black and white dreary occupied areas into vibrant colors as the resistance forces take back Paris. Unfortunately there is no multiplayer aspect to enjoy in this game (though it isn't exactly fitting) but the single player is strong enough to support hours of play. If you are looking for a fun change of pace to GTA I would recommend this title to add some flavor to your gamer needs.”

“if you tried to take Assassin's Creed and Grand Theft Auto and jumbled them together in a World War II setting, this would be that game. even though description sounds kind of awesome, this game is lacking. its not bad if you've never. however, if you're already used to really good sandbox such as GTA or Mercenaries, you probably get bored of this one immediately. and if you want to climb buildings and assassinate people, just go get Assassin's Creed. if you want to do it with German machine guns, then go ahead, try out the Saboteur.”
