DESCRIPTION
As the title suggests, this expansion package makes available a deluge of water-related equipment and accessories for virtual amusement park managers. Tycoons can install new attractions such as aquariums and dolphin performances, laser-light water programs, more than 50 additional rides, and even their own custom-designed waterfalls and swimming pools. As with most expansion packs, Soaked requires a full installation of the main game, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide

“I decided to review each part of Platinum as seperate entities. Soaked!, an expansion pack that adds the ability to create water parks by adding in pools and water rides. This expansion is miles ahead of 'Wild!' for one thing, the pools. While alot of people view animals, once you hit thje 4-6 dollar mark they start saying its expensive and/or refuse to go, but with 'Soaked!' as long as you have a large pool with some accessories like jacuzzis (which are DIRT cheap) you can get away with charging 15-20 bucks a head. Combine this with the money you make off of selling sun tan lotion and swimming gear this makes a pool a HUGE money maker and speeds up the process of getting goals significantly.
What drags it down are the water rides some which require you to build lakes and rivers to work. Building lakes and rivers to be compatible with ANYTHING is always a pain as you can't shape the terrain the exact way you want it. After 20+ games I still haven't managed to make a waterfall even though I put hours into trying to figure it out each time. Its best to just build over what bodies of water the game already gives you or hope that the ride comes with a pre-built body of water.
The sounds are decent, but could have been done better. With a water park they could've added alot more accessories instead like 'Wild!' they chose to focus on some of the main parts which means you'll never be able to create a "Full" water park, only add water park rides into a regular theme park. This is what makes it an expansion, but at the same time takes away from it being an expansion and more of an add-on or update.”
