"Beep, Beep!" Everyone's favorite road runner is running for his life once again, but this time, you're in control of his fate. Zip around the desert eating your birdseed while avoiding a host of hazards, including your archenemy, Wile E. Coyote, who is up to his old tricks. Whatever you do, just keep running!
As the game begins, Wile E. Coyote is pursuing you on the highway, but he can be temporarily stopped if he is lured into hitting one of the many hazards found there. On the first level, you'll contend with fast moving trucks. In level two, you must jump over huge gaps in the road and avoid land mines. In subsequent levels, Wile E. Coyote will chase after you on rocket skates or a rocket sled. He will also fire cannonballs to try and stop you. You must also watch out for rolling boulders and steel shot disguised as birdseed that will make you vulnerable to Wile E. Coyote's magnet.
Points are awarded for eating birdseed and for tricking Wile E. Coyote into getting hit by the various hazards of the road. The first pile of birdseed you eat is worth 100 points, but the point value of each pile of birdseed eaten thereafter increases by 100 points, up to a maximum of 1,000. If you miss a pile of birdseed on your way through the level, however, the point value begins again at 100 points.
You begin the game with three lives. Every time Wile E. Coyote catches you or you run into a hazard, you'll lose one. The game ends when all lives have been lost. It is not possible to earn extra lives. ~ Michael Schwartz/Joan Dykman, All Game Guide
