DESCRIPTION

A volcanic Mediterranean island is the setting for this original role-playing game created by the designers of the Gothic series. Divided into four chapters, Risen's storyline follows two factions: a rebel group and the "inquisition," one of which you'll decide to join early in the game. Explore lush jungles, dank caverns, ancient temples, and a volcano stronghold while interacting with various non-player characters through multiple dialogue choices. Cast powerful spells, fire arrows, or swing mighty swords, axes, and other weapons to defeat ogres, rotting worms, skeletons, wolves, ghouls, and similar monsters. Battles take place in real time, with action-oriented combos possible as well as opportunities for stealth.
