DESCRIPTION

Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure blends elements of strategy role-playing with the random-encounters found in games like Final Fantasy VIII. You are cast in the role of Cornet, a girl who lost her parents at a young age and possesses a strange ability to talk to and control puppets. Cornet must use her distinct talents to find her beloved prince, who has disappeared under strange circumstances.

Cornet's quest will take her to all corners of the kingdom. She'll make friends, face enemies, and encounter betrayals throughout the course of her adventure. Cornet must also build up a force of puppet friends. She'll encounter potential puppet allies in graveyards, ancient ruins, and in other locales. Monsters you fight can join up with you as well, and they can either level up like your puppet allies or be sold to local collectors for cash.

As you progress through the game, event flags will unlock new songs and art galleries. Players will be able to play back their favorite songs while watching stills that tell the story behind the song. The image gallery shows extra sketches and moments from the game, although usually in a more detailed manner than the sprite-based graphics can depict. Both English and Japanese languages are supported, and initial shipments of the game include a soundtrack CD as a special bonus. ~ Joe Ottoson, All Game Guide
