DESCRIPTION

Set in feudal Japan, this action-adventure game follows the story of Kurenai, an unfortunate girl whose family is destroyed in a ruthless attack by an evil clan called Black Lizard. The cruel clan murders her father and then hangs Kurenai's young, battered body from a wire and leaves her to die. Kurenai is rescued by a more benevolent clan of warriors, however, and raised in their ranks to become a master of martial arts.

Kurenai specializes in the use of a weapon ironically fashioned from the very wire that the Black Lizard raiders intended to be her doom. The wire weapon can be equipped with different attachments that affect its speed, length, and damage. The vengeful kunoichi can make use of many other skills and devices as well, however, from acrobatics and stealth tactics to seduction and explosives. She is driven through the adventure by one desire — to find the Black Lizard Clan and destroy it, avenging her father's death. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide
