Turn-based tacticians fight off a near-future alien invasion of Earth in this GBA strategy game from the makers of Laser Squad Nemesis. Like that 2004 PC sleeper hit, Rebelstar Tactical Command is reminiscent of the almost universally acclaimed PC classic, X-Com: UFO Defense, in both spirit and substance. Players take the roles of a brave human insurgents, seeking to resist the invading alien Arelians and free the planet from their cruel control. The game's main campaign comprises a series of individual, map-based missions that pit small squads of human rebels against groups of alien invaders in destructible environments. A quick skirmish mode and a two-player "hot seat" mode are also available. Codo Games developers Julian and Nick Gollop were part of the team that created the original X-Com. ~ T.J.
