DESCRIPTION
Inspired by Atari's classic coin-op, Breakout, Reaxxion takes the simple premise of bouncing balls and bashing bricks and adds a number of new twists. The paddle, for instance, is comprised of liquid metal, which is used to create different sized balls. Since the paddle shrinks with every generated ball, players carefully manage their metal to complete all 200 levels. Lost fluid can be replenished by either absorbing balls in play or by catching droplets found after hitting certain targets. To help players clear areas and earn high scores, nine different power-ups are attainable by bouncing balls up chutes and into one of two chambers per level. Boss battles are also included and are reminiscent of another coin-op classic, Pong, where the goal is to ricochet a ball past a rival paddle until its liquid metal is depleted. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide
